De 1988 a 2009, las ventas de agua embotellada a nivel mundial se han más que cuadruplicado a más de 131 millones de metros cúbicos anuales. Las ventas de agua embotellada en todo el mundo están aumentando a razón de 6% por año, mientras que el volumen de las bebidas de fruta que se consume es cada vez menos del 2% anual y venta de cerveza y la venta de refrescos están creciendo a menos del 1% al año. ¿A qué se debe el gran crecimiento en las ventas de agua embotellada? El agua embotellada cuesta normalmente mil veces más por litro de agua con respecto al de la red pública municipal, ¿Los consumidores están dispuestos a pagar este precio porque creen que el agua embotellada es más segura que el agua de la red pública? ¿Tienen una preferencia por el sabor real del agua embotellada? ¿O es la conveniencia de la botella de plástico portátil el factor principal? Irónicamente, a pesar de su costo, los usuarios deben asumir que la pureza del agua embotellada está insuficientemente protegida, regulada, o en vigilancia permanente, e incluso cuando existen, las plantas de agua embotellada suelen recibir mucho menos control de los inspectores que las plantas de otros alimentos o los sistemas municipales de agua. En muchos lugares, como en nuestro país, los embotelladores son controlados por el Ministerio de Salud, sin embargo los resultados de los controles son guardados celosamente y no son conocidos por el público en general. En este sentido en el presente trabajo se pretende identificar el nivel gestión de calidad del producto y el servicio de las empresas comercializadoras de agua de mesa de la Provincia de San Martín, además de brindar un modelo de protocolos, procedimientos normalizados de operación y calidad, Plan HACCP con el que puedan cumplir con el nivel mínimo de calidad del producto y además mejorar la calidad del servicio que brindan a sus clientes.Item Influencia de la calidad en la cobertura y el servicio de agua potable que brinda la empresa Emapa San Martín S.A.(Universidad Nacional de San Martín.
