Abstract
Knowledge and preventive attitudes towards cervical cancer in mothers' clubs in the Rioja district - 2024. The problem is that many women are not sufficiently informed about cervical cancer and its importance. This may be due to a lack of education about the disease and its risks, as well as the lack of dissemination of adequate information in the community. Likewise, almost half of the women diagnosed with cervical cancer had never had a previous screening test. The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and preventive attitudes towards cervical cancer in mothers' clubs in the Rioja district - 2024. The research was basic, non-experimental, quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive correlational design. The population and sample consisted of 110 mothers from the mothers' clubs in the Atahualpa, Democracia (Club Niño Jesús) and Nueva Esperanza (Club Matilde del Aguila) sectors. The technique was the survey and the questionnaire will be used as an instrument. Results, the level of knowledge on preventive measures against cervical cancer was high with 38% of the members of the mothers' club, while 30% have a medium knowledge and 32% have a low knowledge. The preventive attitudes towards cervical cancer reveal that 34% of the members of the mothers' club have a high attitude, followed by 37% with a medium attitude and 29% have a low attitude. There is a low positive correlation between the dimensions of knowledge education and awareness (Rho = 0.381), early detection (Rho = 0.417) and risk factors (Rho = 0.324) has a statistically significant correlation with preventive attitudes towards cervical cancer, with bilateral significance values less than <.001. There is a low positive relationship between knowledge and preventive attitudes towards cervical cancer, using the Spearman correlation coefficient, it shows a Rho value = 0.,392 and a bilateral significance less than <.001 for both variables; which indicates that the greater the knowledge, the better the preventive attitude towards cervical cancer in the mothers' club of the Rioja district.
