Abstract
Raciones alimenticias y estado nutricional de niños menores de 36 meses del programa vaso de leche Santa Rosa de Cumbaza–2023
La desnutrición infantil es un problema que afecta el desarrollo cognitivo y conductual de las nuevas generaciones, lo cual a largo plazo equivale a una pérdida económica para el país por la pérdida de productividad, educación y salud de aquellas personas que sufrieron de desnutrición durante su infancia, es por ello que el Estado invierte en programas sociales que reduzcan la desnutrición en las poblaciones vulnerables, teniendo como una de sus principales prioridades a los niños menores de 5 años. El objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar la relación entre las raciones alimenticias y el estado nutricional de niños menores de 36 meses de Santa Rosa de Cumbaza del distrito de Tarapoto durante el año 2023, es de diseño no experimental, retrospectiva, transversal. Se utilizaron una muestra de 34 niños y niñas que constituían la totalidad de niños menores de 36 meses beneficiarios del PVL. Los resultados obtenidos fueron: el 100% de niños recibieron una ración única que fue consumida en el desayuno, el 61.8% de los niños tenían buena aceptación de la ración alimenticia, 38.2% una regular aceptación y no hubo niños con mala aceptación. En relación al estado nutricional de los beneficiarios de acuerdo a los indicadores antropométricos tanto en P/E como en T/E y P/T hubo un 76.5% con un estado nutricional Normal, en cambio, en P/E un 23.5% resultaron con desnutrición global, en T/E un 23.5% resultaron con desnutrición crónica y en P/T un 17.6% con desnutrición aguda. Concluyendo que no existe relación entre las raciones alimenticias y el estado nutricional de niños menores de 36 meses del Programa Vaso de Leche de Santa Rosa de Cumbaza del distrito de Tarapoto 2023.
Food rations and nutritional status of children under 36 months of age in the Santa Rosa de Cumbaza Glass of Milk Program–2023 Child malnutrition is a problem that affects the cognitive and behavioral development of new generations, which in the long term is equivalent to an economic loss for the country due to the loss of productivity, education and health of those citizens who suffered from malnutrition during their childhood. For this reason, the State invests in social programs that reduce malnutrition in vulnerable populations, with children under 5 years of age as one of its main priorities. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between food rations and the nutritional status of children under 36 months old in Santa Rosa de Cumbaza in the district of Tarapoto during the year 2023. It is a non-experimental, retrospective, cross-sectional design. A sample of 34 children was used, which constituted the total number of children under 36 months who were beneficiaries of the Glass of Milk Program (Programa Vaso de Leche). The results obtained were: 100% of the children received a single ration that was consumed at breakfast, 61.8% of the children had good acceptance of the food ration, 38.2% had regular acceptance and there were no children with poor acceptance. In relation to the nutritional status of the beneficiaries according to anthropometric indicators in W/A and H/A and W/H there were 76.5% with a normal nutritional status, while W/A 23.5% were found to be globally malnourished, in H/A 23.5% were found to be chronically malnourished and in W/H 17.6% were found to be acutely malnourished. In conclusion, there is no relationship between food rations and the nutritional status of children under 36 months of age in the Santa Rosa de Cumbaza Glass of Milk Program in the district of Tarapoto 2023.
