Abstract
“CANPINJU” teaching strategies to improve mathematical learning in second grade students of the I.E. N° 00616, Naranjillo Mathematics instruction during the first levels of primary education is essential for the growth of logical and mathematical competencies in students. However, in many cases, traditional teaching methods fail to capture children's interest or promote meaningful learning. This approach seeks not only to facilitate the understanding of mathematical concepts, but also to foster a dynamic and participatory learning environment, adapted to the needs and characteristics of the students. The general objective was to determine the level at which the “CANPINJU” teaching strategies improve the mathematical learning of second grade students at Educational Institution No. 00616, Naranjillo. Theories underpinning this work are the theory of meaningful learning, the notion of learning through play, and Moog's approach to the development of musical thinking. A quantitative study was carried out that was applied and pre-experimental, involving a group of 20 students during 9 meetings. The findings obtained indicate that the average in the initial exam was 1.8 ± 1.4 points with a coefficient of variation of 78.1%, being located in the initial qualification, compared to the post-test, an average score of 17.5 ± 4.5 was obtained with a variation of 25.8%, therefore, the average difference achieved was 15.7 ± 4.4 points. This leads to the conclusion that CANPINJU teaching strategies (singing, painting, playing) have significantly increased mathematical understanding among second grade students of Educational Institution No. 00616 of Naranjillo.
