Abstract
Estrategia “juegos recreativos autónomos” para desarrollar la orientación espacial en niños de 4 años de la I.E.I. N°288, Rioja-2020.
Strategy "autonomous recreational games" to develop spatial orientation in 4-year-old children of I.E.I. N°288, Rioja-2020. In the field of early childhood education, special emphasis is placed on the development of essential competencies for children's continuous growth and learning. Within this framework, psychomotor skills play a fundamental role, considering the individual as an integral entity in which cognitive, motor, social, emotional and affective components converge and are closely intertwined, all framed in a specific environmental context, as noted by MINEDU (2017, p. 96). In this process, children become progressively more aware of their bodies and their capacities to act and express themselves. This is manifested through active exploration and experimentation with their own movements, adopting different postures, moving and participating in games autonomously. The objective of this study was to apply the strategy autonomous recreational games for the development of spatial orientation in 4-year-old children of the Initial Educational Institution No. 288, located in the center of Rioja, such application was developed during the months of November to December of the current year. The level of research was explanatory, applied type, pre-experimental design with two measurements before and after the strategy autonomous recreational games. A checklist was applied to 23 4-year-old children, in which 52.2% of the children in the pretest were found to be in the process of achieving spatial orientation and 47.8% were found to be in the process of achieving spatial orientation and 47.8% were found to be in the process of achieving it. While in the post-test, all the children improved their spatial orientation. Significant achievement was also observed in its dimensions, spatial location and intuitive trajectory. It is concluded that the application of the strategy autonomous recreational games has produced significant effects in the development of spatial orientation in 4-year-old children of the Initial Educational Institution 288 de Rioja, evidenced by a value of p=0.000<5%.
