Abstract
Factores familiares – sanitarias relacionados con el estado nutricional en niños discapacitados atendidos en el Hospital Banda de Shilcayo, 2023
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre los factores familiares y sanitarios con el estado nutricional de niños con discapacidad en el distrito de la Banda de Shilcayo, durante el año 2023. Se empleó un diseño cuantitativo correlacional de corte transversal, con una muestra de 30 niños. La técnica de recolección de datos fue la encuesta, utilizando un cuestionario estructurado como instrumento. Teniendo como resultados que el 80% de las familias están conformadas por madre/padre e hijos; el 53.3% de las madres tienen entre 18 y 29 años, el 46.7% posee educación secundaria, el 70% son amas de casa y el 63.3% se identifican como católicas. En los padres, el 60% tiene entre 30 y 59 años, el 56.7% posee educación secundaria y el 23.3% trabaja como albañil; un 10% está ausente. El 53.3% de las familias reporta ingresos mensuales entre 1000 y 1600 soles. Respecto a las condiciones de vivienda, el 70% es de propiedad, el 56.7% tiene paredes de ladrillo, el 40% presenta pisos de falso piso y el 80% tiene techos de calamina. El 66.7% de las viviendas cuenta con todos los servicios básicos (agua, luz y desagüe), y el 46.7% consume agua tratada. En cuanto a la atención médica, el 80% de los niños no acudió al hospital en los últimos 10 días. En relación al estado nutricional, se encontró que el 43.3% de los niños presentan talla baja para su edad, el 40% tiene bajo peso para talla y el 66.7% se encuentra en la categoría de bajo peso para edad. En conclusión, no se observó relación significativa entre el tipo de discapacidad y el estado nutricional de los niños con discapacidad atendidos en el Hospital Banda de Shilcayo durante el año 2023 (p > 0.05).
Family-health factors related to nutritional status in disabled children attended at the Banda de Shilcayo Hospital, 2023. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between family and health factors with the nutritional status of children with disabilities in the district of Banda de Shilcayo, during the year 2023. A cross-sectional quantitative correlational design was used, with a sample of 30 children. The data collection technique was the survey, using a structured questionnaire as an instrument. The results showed that 80% of the families are composed of mother/father and children; 53.3% of the mothers are between 18 and 29 years old, 46.7% have a high school education, 70% are housewives and 63.3% identify themselves as Catholic. Among the parents, 60% are between 30 and 59 years old, 56.7% have a high school education level and 23.3% work as masons; 10% are absent. Of the families, 53.3% report monthly incomes between 1,000 and 1,600 soles. Regarding housing conditions, 70% are owned, 56.7% have brick walls, 40% have false floors and 80% have tin roofs. Of the dwellings, 66.7% have all basic services (water, electricity and sewage), and 46.7% consume treated water. In terms of medical care, 80% of the children did not visit the hospital in the last 10 days. Regarding nutritional status, 43.3% of the children were found to have low height for their age, 40% had low weight for height and 66.7% were in the low weight for age category. In conclusion, no significant relationship was observed between the type of disability and the nutritional status of children with disabilities attended at the Banda de Shilcayo Hospital during the year 2023 (p > 0.05).
