Abstract
This thesis project has been developed in the Faculty of Civil Engineering, belonging to the National University of San Martin, motivated by the lack of water currently experienced in the locality of El Valle. The inhabitants of this village are affected due to the lack of drinking water supply, being forced to travel long distances to meet their needs. This lack not only exposes their health, but also the proliferation of infectious diseases, undermining the quality of life of the inhabitants. Faced with this situation, the research project aims to provide a technical alternative to meet the vital needs of human beings. Previous studies were considered based on a design population of 343 inhabitants, the topography and the design of the respective components from the catchment, pipeline, DWTP and reservoir. The development of the research project was carried out in two stages: first, field data collection and evaluation of hydraulic parameters were carried out. From this analysis it was determined that the design flow is 0.78 liters per second. Due to the topography of the site, a conventional potable water supply system is used starting with a 10.00 m3 intake, DWTP and reservoir. A class 150 PVC pipe of 1.5 inches in diameter and projected to a 138.55 meter pipeline is used.
