Nivel de conocimiento y conductas de riesgo a infección por VIH/SIDA en tres colegios, San Martín – 2023

Abstract

El SIDA es un problema de salud pública en casi todos los países del mundo, aun así, los gobiernos siguen esforzándose para poner fin al Virus de Inmunodeficiencia Humana (VIH/Sida). La infección continúa manifestándose en nuevos casos durante diversas etapas de la vida, incluido el nacimiento, la lactancia y la adolescencia. Lamentablemente, un número importante de personas afectadas por el VIH carecen de los recursos necesarios para realizar pruebas y recibir tratamiento. El nivel de conocimiento personal se considera fundamental para adquirir una salud óptima, en este contexto, el conocimiento del VIH/SIDA representa la adquisición de hechos científicos e información sobre los síntomas, la forma de transmisión, las consecuencias adversas y las estrategias de prevención de la enfermedad. El estudio tiene como propósito establecer el nivel de relación entre el conocimiento y conductas de riesgo a infección por VIH/SIDA en estudiantes de tres colegios, provincia de San Martín – 2023.; siendo el tipo de estudio a desarrollar básico, con diseño correlacional. Entre los resultados destaca un nivel regular del 93% de conocimiento de VIH/SIDA en estudiantes y en cuanto a la conducta de riesgo a infección por VIH/SIDA un 79% tiene conducta regular de riesgo. El estudio concluyó que mediante el coeficiente de Rho Spearman de -0,071 corresponde a una correlación negativa alta; y un p valor igual a 0,211 (p-valor > 0.01); aceptando la hipótesis nula; es decir, no existe relación significativa entre el conocimiento y conductas de riesgo a infección por VIH/SIDA en estudiantes del nivel secundario. Asimismo, un R2 de 0.0033, que indica que solo el 0.33% de la conducta de riesgo para contraer VIH/SIDA se debe al conocimiento del riesgo de la infección en los estudiantes secundarios.SIDA is a public health problem in almost all countries in the world, yet governments continue to make efforts to put an end to the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV/AIDS).
