Abstract

Contexto alfabetizador y habilidades metalingüísticas en lengua awajún en estudiantes del quinto grado de la Institución Educativa 00796, Rio Soritor.

El contexto alfabetizador y las habilidades metalingüísticas son componentes cruciales en el logro académico y lingüístico de los estudiantes. En la comunidad Nativa Rio Soritor, la lengua awajún tiene una importancia cultural significativa. Evaluar cómo el contexto alfabetizador influye en las habilidades metalingüísticas en esta lengua es esencial para diseñar estrategias educativas que promuevan el bilingüismo y el mantenimiento de la lengua materna. Ante ello, se presentó este estudio investigativo con el objetivo de evaluar la relación que existe entre el contexto alfabetizador y las habilidades metalingüísticas en lengua awajún en estudiantes del quinto grado de la Institución Educativa 00796, Rio Soritor. Se realizó en el centro poblado de Rio Soritor, perteneciente al distrito de Awajún, provincia de Rioja, región San Martín. Tuvo una duración de 6 meses. La investigación se ejecutó desde el enfoque cuantitativo, tipo de investigación básica y diseño descriptivo correlacional. Se procedió desde la observación de la realidad, utilizando como instrumentos el cuestionario para el contexto alfabetizador y la prueba para medir las habilidades metalingüísticas. Dichos instrumentos fueron validados por juicio de expertos y su confiabilidad con resultados aceptables (r=0.746) y otro resultado de bueno (r=0.813). Estos instrumentos fueron aplicados a una muestra de 17 estudiantes. Los resultados encontrados indican que su contexto alfabetizador indica que el 82% indica que es medianamente favorable y el 64% se ubica en el nivel proceso en sus habilidades metalingüísticas en su lengua awajún. Finalmente, se concluye que existe una correlación positiva fuerte entre las variables contexto alfabetizador y las habilidades metalingüísticas en lengua awajún de los estudiantes del quinto grado, con valor correlacional de Pearson de 0.942 y p= 0.000 menor al 5%.

Literacy context and metalinguistic skills in the Awajún language in fifth grade students of Educational Institution 00796, Rio Soritor.

The literacy context and metalinguistic skills are crucial components in students' academic and linguistic achievement. In the Rio Soritor Native community, the Awajún language has significant cultural importance. Assessment of how the literacy context influences metalinguistic skills in this language is essential for designing educational strategies that promote bilingualism and the maintenance of the mother tongue. Therefore, this research study was presented with the objective of evaluating the relationship between the literacy context and metalinguistic skills in the Awajún language in fifth grade students of the Educational Institution 00796, Rio Soritor. The study was carried out in the town of Rio Soritor, in the district of Awajún, province of Rioja, San Martín region. It lasted 6 months. The research was carried out from a quantitative approach, basic research type and descriptive correlational design. Observation of reality was used, applying as instruments the questionnaire for the literacy context and the test to measure metalinguistic skills. These instruments were validated by expert judgment and their reliability with acceptable results (r=0.746) and another result of good (r=0.813). These instruments were applied to a sample of 17 students. The results found indicate that their literacy context showed that 82% were moderately favorable and 64% were at the process level in their metalinguistic skills in their Awajún language. Finally, it is concluded that there is a strong positive correlation between the literacy context variables and the metalinguistic skills in the Awajún language of the fifth-grade students, with a Pearson correlation value of 0.942 and p= 0.000 less than 5%.
