Abstract
Bearing Capacity of Soils and the Stability of Housing in the district of San Antonio de Cumbaza San Martin 2021. In this research work, the general objective was to determine the Bearing Capacity of the Soils and the Stability of the Homes. The location of the research focused on the district of San Antonio de Cumbaza, Province and Region of San Martín, the period of evaluation and collection of information in the field was from January to May 2023. The research design is non-experimental and descriptive type. The results obtained at the end of the investigation: the number of pits according to Standard E 050 was 11 pits; The properties of the soils under study are determined, each of the soils is classified by the AASHTO and SUCS systems, obtaining by AASHTO the following classification A-2-4(0), A-2-7(1), A -4(0), A-4(4), A1-b (0), A1-b (1), and by SUCS we had: CL, SM – SC, GC, SM, GP – GM, to determine the ultimate capacities (load-bearing), a 3-story structure was idealized, the service loads of the critical central column were calculated since it has a greater tributary area and therefore has a greater load, after which the surface foundation was pre-sized, obtaining square footings of L=B=2.20 m for a Df=3.00 m, then the ultimate capacities or bearing capacities of the soils were calculated according to Standard E050, obtaining the following results: (3.09, 3.21, 3.99, 2.1, 20.463, 15.33 , 9.39, 9.45, 18.33, 18.42, 10.86) kg/cm2. The investigation is concluded with the ultimate (bearing) capacity values of the 11 pits and it is also determined that said soils are structurally stable in the face of a square footing type surface foundation.
