Abstract

Sistema de Recuperación de Información para el Proceso de Orientación de Especialidades en Informática en Estudiantes de la FISI UNSM El proceso de orientación profesional ha sido un factor clave para los estudiantes que cursan los últimos años de la carrera profesional, representando un desafío que suele estar a la par con la angustia y estrés. La orientación profesional es esencial para lograr una visión profesional, destacando las bases teóricas y relaciones dirigidas al perfil profesional de una especialidad hacia el estudiante. Esta investigación se realizará en la Facultad de Ingeniería de Sistemas e Informática (FISI) de la Universidad Nacional de San Martín (UNSM) con los alumnos del décimo ciclo del semestre académico 2021-I, un total de 25 estudiantes. En la FISI-UNSM, se observa que los estudiantes tienen cierto desconocimiento de especialidades en informática, a pesar de su interés en cursos relacionados. El objetivo general es mejorar el proceso de orientación de especialidades en informática a estudiantes del décimo ciclo del semestre académico 2021-I de la FISI-UNSM mediante un Sistema de Recuperación de Información usando el modelo de espacio vectorial. En la investigación se realizaron encuestas virtuales (pretest y post-test). Los resultados incluyen la creación de una base de datos de especialidades en informática, así como la implementación de un sistema de recuperación de información basado en el modelo de espacio vectorial. Concluyendo que el sistema tuvo un impacto positivo en la percepción de los estudiantes del décimo ciclo del semestre académico 2021-I de la FISI-UNSM en cuanto al tiempo de recibir información y la satisfacción con la misma. Después de la implementación, todos los estudiantes del décimo ciclo del semestre académico 2021-I calificaron el tiempo de recibir información como "Muy bueno" y la mayoría calificaron la satisfacción con la información como "Bueno" o "Muy Bueno". Estos resultados indican que el sistema mejoró significativamente la calidad de la información recibida, sugiriendo que la implementación de esta tecnología fue exitosa y contribuyó positivamente a la experiencia de los estudiantes del décimo ciclo del semestre académico 2021-I.Information Retrieval System for the Orientation Process of Computer Science Majors in Students of FISI UNSM The professional orientation process has been a key factor for students in the last years of the professional career, representing a challenge that is often on par with anguish and stress. Professional orientation is essential to achieve a profesional vision, highlighting the theoretical bases and relationships directed to the professional profile of a specialty towards the student. This research will be conducted at the Faculty of Systems Engineering and Informatics (FISI) of the National University of San Martin (UNSM) with a total of 25 the students of the tenth cycle of the academic semester 2021-I. At FISI-UNSM, a certain lack of knowledge of computer science majors is observed among students, despite their interest in related courses. The general objective is to improve the orientation process of computer science majors to students of the tenth cycle of the academic semester 2021-I of the FISI-UNSM by means of an Information Retrieval System using the vector space model. Virtual surveys (pretest and post-test) were conducted in the research. The results include the creation of a database of computer science majors, as well as the implementation of an information retrieval system based on the vector space model. It was concluded that the system had a positive impact on the perception of the students of the tenth cycle of the academic semester 2021-I of the FISI-UNSM in terms of time to receive information and satisfaction with it. After implementation, all students in the tenth cycle of the 2021-I academic semester rated the time to receive information as “Very Good” and the majority rated satisfaction with the information as “Good” or “Very Good”. These results indicate that the system significantly improved the quality of information received, suggesting that the implementation of this technology was successful and contributed positively to the experience of the students in the tenth cycle of the 2021-I academic semester.
