Estudio arquitectónico de un centro geriátrico integral para el envejecimiento activo del adulto mayor en Moyobamba

Abstract

Estudio arquitectónico de un centro geriátrico integral para el envejecimiento activo del adulto mayor en Moyobamba. El presente informe de investigación tuvo como objetivo estudiar conocer las características arquitectónicas y la funcionalidad de un centro geriátrico integral que contribuyen en el envejecimiento activo del adulto mayor en la ciudad de Moyobamba, provincia de San Martin. La investigación surgió debido a la necesidad de un centro geriátrico integral, el cual podrá acoger y cubrir las necesidades que tiene el adulto mayor, brindando servicios para mejorar la salud física y mental, mejorando su estilo de vida, aumentando sus esperanzas de vida y guiándoles hacia un envejecimiento activo. Una vez realizada la revisión bibliográfica, se asumió la hipótesis de que las características arquitectónicas y la funcionalidad de un centro geriátrico integral contribuyen en el envejecimiento activo del adulto mayor en Moyobamba, para lo cual se tomó una muestra de 370 habitantes adultos mayores, los cuales fueron encuestados para dar entendimiento y conocimiento de las características arquitectónicas y la funcionalidad de un centro geriátrico integral y como este contribuye en el envejecimiento activo del adulto mayor, llegando a la conclusión de que el 79% de la población encuestada considera necesario un centro geriátrico integral para el adulto mayor en nuestra provincia de Moyobamba. Además, el 90% de la población está de acuerdo en la implementación de talleres ocupacionales para el envejecimiento activo del adulto mayor, como también ser partícipes de estos talleres, y cabe recalcar que el 54% de la población adulto mayor señalaron que en el caso de tener acceso a un centro geriátrico en la provincia de Moyobamba harían uso de este. Finalmente, se concluye que las características arquitectónicas y la funcionalidad de un centro geriátrico integral contribuyen en el envejecimiento activo del adulto mayor en la ciudad de Moyobamba.

Architectural Study of an Integral Geriatric Center for the active aging of the elderly in Moyobamba. The objective of this research was to study the architectural characteristics and the functionality of an integral geriatric center that contributes to the active aging of the elderly in the city of Moyobamba, province of San Martin. The research resulted from the demand for a comprehensive geriatric center, which will be able to accommodate and meet the needs of the elderly, providing services to improve physical and mental health, improving their lifestyle, increasing their life expectancy and guiding them towards active aging. Once the bibliographic review was completed, it was hypothesized that the architectural characteristics and functionality of a comprehensive geriatric center contribute to the active aging of the elderly in Moyobamba. For this purpose, a sample of 370 elderly inhabitants were surveyed to understand and learn about the architectural characteristics and functionality of a comprehensive geriatric center and how it contributes to the active aging of the elderly. It was concluded that 79% of the surveyed population considers that a comprehensive geriatric center for the elderly is necessary in the province of Moyobamba. In addition, 90% of the population agrees with the implementation of occupational workshops for the active aging of the elderly, as well as to participate in these workshops, and it should be noted that 54% of the elderly population indicated that if they had access to a geriatric center in the province of Moyobamba, they would make use of it. Finally, it is concluded that the architectural characteristics and functionality of an integral geriatric center contribute to the active aging of the elderly in the city of Moyobamba.
